Project Highlights: 

• Bucknell engaged HLA to reconfigure its outdated, traditional Post Office to  implement a new locker system for packages that allows students to securely pick-up their deliveries anytime using a smart phone app.

• HLA worked closely with the locker vendor to provide the proper footprint and connections for the new technology.

• Designers removed the existing individual student mailboxes to create a locker area that better connects to the adjacent student lounge.

• The design team reoriented the layout to allow natural light from an exterior wall of windows into the lounge, making the space brighter and more open.

• Additional modifications to the post office make package unloading and movement easier for staff.

• New finishes and exciting graphics enliven the space.

• The completed renovations provide Bucknell’s students with the modern conveniences and look of a 21st century postal system.
