Project Highlights: 

• Hoffman Leakey worked closely with the University to redesign the lobby area to improve first floor circulation and create an open, inviting, modern place for students to gather and study.

• The new design completely transformed the space, using glass partitions, contemporary finishes and new lighting.

• Designers selected flexible, comfortable furniture that can easily be reconfigured to suit student needs, including large mobile monitors.

• A new computer desk made from reclaimed maple makes efficient use of the area between structural columns.

• An underused storage closet was removed to create a coffee bar and kitchenette.

• The welcoming new lounge and study space was completed on schedule and slightly under the University’s $150,000 budget.
