Melissa joins HLA with a BS in interior design and a minor in business administration as well as a working background focused on AutoCad drafting and project management for commercial interiors. She brings with her not only a dynamic passion for design but a personal understanding of supplier perspective. With respect to this unique angle from which she has experienced the industry, she’s happy to delve into the world of creation, allowing customer focus and well-roundedness to drive her design approach.
In her free time, Melissa’s interests toggle seasonally. During the winter months, she enjoys drawing and dabbling in craft activities such as wood burning, pottery making, and used furniture restoration. During the warmer months, she’d much prefer to spend her time outdoors, whether it be to hike, sightsee, or just lie in the sun. She enjoys spontaneous adventures to new places and loves opportunities to support local talent and small businesses. Melissa is largely involved in the animal rescue community as well, fostering through a local animal shelter, and is kept busy with three rescued pets of her own.
