Elkview Homestead

This residential client came to us with a vision for her newly acquired 90+ acres of countryside in the heart of Cameron County, where elk are known to roam. An avid hunter, outdoorswoman, and philanthropist, our client was looking to build a quiet nest for herself in retirement after living out a busy life in the outskirts of Philadelphia. We began with a study of the landscape to ultimately determine the home’s best position for interacting with its natural surroundings. The architecture and layout of the home was then predicated around an open-air dining room that doubles as a breezeway between the main level living and master suite. The home’s final design is a product of visionaries who sought inspiration from nature, artifacts, and the project site’s incredible, panoramic views.
